Sponsorships

Club life and sponsorship income are inextricably linked. A question that regularly arises is what the income from our sponsors and Club of 50 is used for. Which destinations are assigned?

First of all, the board, in consultation with the sponsorship committee, has formulated the following principles for sponsorship income:

  • Sponsorship funds will not be used to make up for budget shortfalls;
  • In principle, sponsorship funds are not spent on core matters. To prevent the club's continued existence from being jeopardized if these funds were to disappear;
  • Sponsors can express their preference for destinations, but the association and the board always remain leading and are free to deviate from this.

Furthermore, the following main destinations for sponsorship funds have been determined:

  1. Member recruitment and retention - for example our Summer Challenge, the guidance of new members and the walk-in training;
  2. Youth – for example the Startbaan Sports internships and extra training;
  3. OST. Thanks to the main sponsorship of Royal Coster Diamonds and the additional contribution from the general sponsorship resources, we are assured of a strong tournament with a regional appearance and a great off court program for all our members;
  4. Connecting different target groups within the association - such as certain party themes
  5. Thanks to the additional contributions from Zorgsamen and Zorg en Zekerheid, OldStars tennis has now grown into a popular activity among the older members of the club;
  6. Sponsors (approx. 10-15% goes back to the sponsors through costs for exposure, sponsor events, etc.).

The content may of course differ from year to year, but the intention is that the above destinations receive extra support. In other words, thanks to the sponsorship income, we as an association are able to optimize a number of things. Although it may be at odds with one of the principles, in current times the sports club desperately needs sponsorship income to take club life to a higher level.
