The Hawk-eye from Zorgsamen

Marco Duut

How is it?

I am Marco Duut, 51 years old, owner of Zorgsamen. Match sponsor since June 2018. Originally a physiotherapist. Married to Anouk, two daughters Anne-Carlijn and Babette. Currently living in Zegveld, soon in Laren, Gelderland. My daughters and wife are big horse lovers, and I am interested in producing special (Dutch) wines.

What do you have with tennis and sports?

Although I am no longer active, I used to be a fanatical tennis player. Was once even club champion of TV Miland (small club!) and organizer of the open tennis tournament in Zegveld. My favorite player was Bjorn Borg. Not least, because this champion was one of the first to market his name well. In addition to tennis, I have been a successful footballer, swimmer and judoka. Unfortunately, exercise at the moment is limited to running.

Who is Zorgsamen?

Zorgsamen is one of the larger home care organizations in this region with branches in Uithoorn and Nijmegen. From Uithoorn we serve the healthcare market in Amstelveen, Aalsmeer, Uithoorn, Ouder-Amstel and Haarlemmermeer. We specialize in so-called “basic care”. We do this with no fewer than three hundred enthusiastic employees, the majority of whom are women aged eighteen to seventy, from many cultures and with various educational levels. Together they provide domestic support (the majority of our care), individual guidance and personal care. I am proud of my flat organization with short lines. The lack of layers ensures great effectiveness. We are also very strong in alarm response. My employees are on standby twenty-four hours a day, 7 days a week, to adequately resolve emergencies.

Why did Zorgsamen choose LTC Startbaan?

I chose LTC Startbaan because the appearance of the park and the entire sponsorship structure particularly appeal to me. This allows me to increase the (brand) awareness of Zorgsamen, knowing that eventually almost everyone comes into contact with care sooner or later. For themselves or for loved ones. I also hope that every member realizes that Zorgsamen is an excellent option for anyone who wants to work (part-time) in healthcare. We usually have several vacancies open!

What could be done differently and/or better at our club?

Unfortunately I can't give you an adequate answer to that because I am not a member. In any case, my experiences as a sponsor have been excellent so far.

What would you prefer to see your sponsorship contribution spent on?

I would personally opt for facilities that make it attractive for disabled people to visit the tennis park or to play sports there themselves. I am very satisfied that you once had Esther Vergeer at your park to promote wheelchair tennis, that your clubhouse is easily accessible via an embankment and that you have an excellent disabled toilet. I have every confidence that you will spend my sponsorship money correctly.

What can Zorgsamen do for the members and/or vice versa?

For me it would be a win/win if members contacted our organization if they needed care. We are accessible and are there to relieve your worries. Plus, as I said, I really hope that members will contact us to see if working (part-time) in healthcare sounds like something for you and how that works. . Perhaps we are a good match and the word Match Sponsor thus takes on a double meaning.

Finally, do you have anything to add?

I wish you every success with the club and would like to express my appreciation for the many volunteers who are active at your club. And take a look at our www.zorgsamen.nl, you will get a good idea of our organization.
