Wie is Royal Coster Diamonds?

Royal Coster Diamonds is the company that my father-in-law Ben Meier made great. It is a diamond cutting factory and is located on Museumplein in Amsterdam. Every year we receive around 300,000 visitors from all over the world. They receive a tour and an explanation of the cutting process that gives the diamond its different shapes before it is set into a piece of jewelry. After this tour, customers will have the opportunity to buy diamonds, jewelry and watches in the showroom. In addition to the polishing shop, we also have a Diamond Museum, also on Museumplein. There the visitor can learn everything about the origins of the diamond and the rich history of Amsterdam with regard to the diamond trade and polishing factories.

Why did Royal Coster Diamonds choose LTC Startbaan?

Royal Coster Diamonds is a family business and the entire Meier family has been playing tennis at the club for years. In addition to the fact that they worked as volunteers, sponsorship was also part of the project. Royal Coster Diamonds has been sponsoring the association for many years now because we know that it works well for an association if extra finance is available. So it's just a matter of granting it.

What could be done differently and/or better at our club?

I believe that there must always be some movement in a club to be optimally organized and an active club is attractive to all members. Hopefully the club can continue to motivate enough new volunteers to commit themselves to the club.

What would you prefer to see your sponsorship contribution spent on?

We decided years ago to invest most of our sponsorship money in club clothing. That remains our preference. It is fantastic to receive feedback from people about our youth who they have seen play at another club. That recognizability is nice.
