About the club

History

LTC Startbaan was founded in January 2013, resulting from the merger of LTC Amstelland (1971) and TC De Meerlanden (1972). The association organizes activities for all levels and ages. LTC Startbaan pays a lot of attention to youth with the Talent Development Plan and training for all youth members, in which young seniors can also participate. LTC Startbaan organizes competitions and an open tournament for both youth and seniors. During the open senior tournament, even players from the top ten in the Netherlands come to our clay courts. The more recreational player is also in the right place with the ladder, many toss options, and fun tournaments. Qualified trainers provide group and private lessons for both youth and seniors.

Tennis park

Our dynamic tennis club is located at Park Startbaan, located in a central location in Amstelveen and with lots of greenery. Next to the park there is a large car park where you can park for free. The park has twelve clay outdoor courts with lighting, a mini tennis court and five indoor courts.

Active and versatile

Our association currently has over a thousand members of all ages, of which 20% are youth members. From the youngest youth to Old Stars: everyone is welcome, for both recreational and performance tennis. Activities and initiatives are primarily aimed at helping our members enjoy tennis. LTC Startbaan has many international members, just like the municipality of Amstelveen!
