Confidential Advisor Regulations


The board of LTC Startbaan Amstelveen (hereinafter referred to as: the association) appoints at least two people who will fulfill the position of Confidential Advisor for the association. This Confidential Advisor fulfills his/her task on the basis of the following rules:


The general task of the Confidential Advisor includes providing initial care for victims of undesirable behavior by other members of the association or persons who have a close relationship with the association insofar as this behavior has occurred within the activities of the association.


In addition, the Confidential Advisor has the following tasks:


* the Confidential Advisor is approachable by members, parents, volunteers, trainers, and other involved parties for problems related to the association that involve undesirable behavior.

* the Confidential Advisor guides the declarant in the further steps of the report;

* the Confidential Advisor mediates, answers questions, refers to support agencies if necessary (such as Sports Associations, KNLTB, NOC-NSF), and registers;

* the Confidential Advisor handles matters in strict confidence and ensures that confidentiality is guaranteed;

* the Confidential Advisor keeps a simple report on all matters;

* the Confidential Advisor will inform the board of the association in general terms of the fact that undesirable behavior has been reported, but will only submit a substantive report to the board on the reported issue with the permission of the person concerned;


Undesirable behavior is in any case:

* sexual harassment

* aggression and violence

* bullying

* discrimination

* internal crime

* undesirable or inappropriate behavior


The Confidential Advisor provides solicited and unsolicited advice to the board in general on matters concerning undesirable behavior and how this can be prevented.


The Confidential Advisor works completely independently.

The Confidential Advisor works as much as possible in accordance with the socially safe sports environment protocol for transgressive behavior. Confidential Contact Person of the Sports Association and sports association of NOC/NSF.

If a board member of the association or another trusted member of the association is initially approached, you can: at the request of the person concerned, the Confidential Advisor can be called in.

A board member or a volunteer of the association informs the reporter of undesirable behavior of the possibility of engaging a confidential counselor. In principle, the confidential counselor has a duty of confidentiality. However, situations may arise where the Confidential Advisor wishes to break this confidentiality due to reasons of conscience. The Confidential Advisor can only break the confidentiality if the Confidential Advisor has met the conditions set out in the aforementioned protocol.

A member of the association who has been appointed as a Confidential Advisor may not be suspended or expelled on the basis of an action arising from the position. of the confidential counselor has been deployed.

The confidential counselor has the option to engage external advice in consultation with the association and at the expense of the association if he/she considers this necessary in a case presented to him/her. Prior approval must be obtained from the board for this.

For the association's annual report, the Confidential Advisor annually passes on the number of reports of undesirable behavior to the board.
